I began working with Dantalion in December 2014, after invoking Dantalion during a love ritual. Dantalion visited me in a dream in the form of a beautiful woman; however he appears in other forms as well. Rather than invoking Dantalion traditionally, I established an altar and provided daily offerings. Dantalion is a powerful spirit and now will make his presence known in a subtle way. He has the ability to influence the mind and is particularly adept in the art of love, among other esoteric teachings. If you do decide to work with Dantalion sincerely, be prepared to have your life torn apart and then rebuilt in a better way. Dantalion is not for the weak of heart and be warned that if you make a promise to this sprit and do not fulfill your side of the bargain, you will be reminded. If you approach Dantalion in the correct and respectful way, your life will be transformed for the better. As with my relationship with Dantalion, this site Is evolving. Forgive me if I have provided any incorrect information.
Traditonally, Dantalion is described this way:
He is depicted as a man with many appearances, all of which are those of men and women. There are also many depictions in which he is said to hold a book in one of his hands, such as the following, from the Lesser Key of Solomon:
"The Seventy-first Spirit is Dantalion. He is a Duke Great and Mighty, appearing in the Form of a Man with many Countenances, all Men's and Women's Faces; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one; for he knoweth the Thoughts of all Men and Women, and can change them at his Will. He can cause Love, and show the Similitude of any person, and show the same by a Vision, let them be in what part of the World they Will. He governeth 36 Legions of Spirits; and this is his Seal, which wear thou, etc."
There are indications that Dantalion is a powerful jinn and has taken on different forms in various cultures; he has a strong connection to the Middle East.
My personal experiences working with Dantalion most likely differ a great deal from ceremonial magicians. I approach Dantalion in a more devotional manner. Daily offerings generally consist of a glass of red wine, incense and candles. There are times when Dantalion has requested absinthe. In the Middle East, Dantalion has requested an offering of tea. When Dantalion is evoked for a request, a more formal ritual is conducted, that includes wearing his sigil, specific candles and incense, followed by a banishing ritual at the conclusion. I have found that the daily offerings to Dantalion are pleasing to him and do not require a banishing ritual.
Dantalion has inspired a number of poetry verses and songs. I will soon be uploading recordings of these hymns and songs. The following hymn has worked in bringing back a lost love:
"Controls the dreams of lovers and kings
Controls the desiny of the heart'
Brings two lovers together again
Who should never have been apart"
Dantalion, Dantalion, Dantalion, Dantalion ...
